Have you ever come across the bows on the back of little girls’ dresses and wondered how to tie them correctly? Many of us struggle with getting the bows to stand properly and often end up with uneven loops or a tilt. This can lead to the bows not looking as polished as we would like.
In my early days of blogging, I struggled with tying bows as well. However, through research, experimentation, and trial and error, I was able to learn how to tie a bow for a dress in the easiest and most beautiful way possible. Through my experience, I have found that large bows look particularly cute on little girls’ dresses.
How to Tie a Bow for a Dress

Take the dress with the sash and turn the dress over. The back of the dress should be facing toward you.
Next, put the left end of the ribbon over the right.
Insert the left end of the ribbon underneath the right end of the ribbon.
Fold the left end of the ribbon in a loop.
Bring the right end of the ribbon behind the loop on the left.
Wrap the right end of the ribbon over the folded left end of the ribbon, from the back.
Fold the remaining sash of the right ribbon in a loop and insert it through the opening between the two sashes
You should come up with a sash that looks like this.
To finish, pull the two loops to tighten the bow. Make sure to tighten the bow to the right extent.
Now you have a cute bow made with a sash!
