DIY Paper Angels Christmas Ornaments
Supplies Needed:
Cardstock paper in your desired colors (I chose red and white)
School glue or glue stick.
Scissors.
Gather your supplies.
Take one 6” x 6” cardstock piece. Cut it into two equal halves.
Start folding the cardstock in accordion style from the short edge. Keep folding till the whole length is folded.
Repeat with the other piece.
Handpress the folds between your two fingers to set the folds. Fold the upper edge by about ¾ -inches. Again handpress tight to secure the fold. Repeat with the other piece.
Cut 2 small white and two small red circles about 1 -inch in diameter ( you may use a small circular object to trace the circle).
Glue the white circle under the red, lining up the edge. Repeat with the other white and red circles.
Next, we make the loop for hanging and also the ornamental bow.
Cut 2 strips, ¼- inch wide and about 10- inches long from the white cardstock.
Take one white paper strip and fold two loops to make a bow. Glue the overlapping area to hold the loops.
Take the other paper strip, fold it in half in a loop and glue it to the center straight edge of one of the folded red piece.
Glue the other half of the angel to the first, sandwiching the lower half of the paper loop in between.
You paper angel ornament is almost ready, next we need to add the head.
Turn the paper loop to lay it flat and glue one of the circular piece, under the loop, with the white side up. Glue the other half over it, with the red side up and lining up the edges.
Trim the edges of the bow to make it equal in length and glue it, just under the head and your paper angel ornament is ready!
