My New Abode

Sharing is caring!

I am sorry I haven’t been able to post any new designs lately since I’ve been super busy setting up my new home. The work has been going on for more than a year now but towards the end, things became too hectic and a little crazy.
I have had the opportunity to set up a few houses but those were not my own but this one is my dream come true, my very own house! I decided that it would be great to post a few amazing pictures of my house on my blog.
I and my husband wanted to stick to the “black and white” theme with a touch of silver and red here and there to break the monotony. The above picture shows my living room in the two colors. We wanted to avoid a rug at the center and decided to go for something different, we laid a glass at the center with a silver showpiece as you can see!. We had ordered for a square teapoy
which we had to cancel for lack of space.
That is the console table in the dining room. I especially loved the high back chairs upholstered with “ostrich leather” that is placed on either side of the console. You can see my dining table and chairs also.
There is a small relaxing area next to the dining room, where I have placed another console table and a Television
We have four bedrooms, three for the kids and one for us! We did all these in a similar manner with just the colors of the curtains and bedspreads varying.
That’s my kitchen which again is black, white and silver. Here I have opted for enameled glass shutters instead of the traditional wooden ones. You can call me a “hygiene freak” and I thought a glass kitchen would be cleaner as you can just spray a cleaner and wipe it clean compared to the wooden ones which retain the stains. The advantage is that it becomes as good as new each time you wipe it! As you can see the kitchen walls are also lined with enameled glass.I hope you enjoyed seeing the pictures of my new home. Finally, I will have time to do what I love most, designing!
