Gather your supplies.

Cut your pieces as directed in the tutorial

To box the bottom of the bag. We cut off 3” squares from the lower edge

Repeat the same with the bag lining and interfacing pieces (picture for illustration purposes).

Take the pocket piece ( and draw a rectangle 0.75- inches wide, about 1.75- inches from the top edge

Fold one of the bag lining pieces and the pocket piece in half and handpress to form a crease along the center.
