Gather The Supplies

Cut the dress pieces. * Mark the top and side edges to avoid messing up. Also, cut the ruffle and strap pieces

Layer the dress pieces. Fold the layer in half, lengthwise and keep the template along the edge

Mark and cut the armhole.

Layer the dress pieces. Draw a line connecting the lower edge of the armholes on one side to the upper edge of the armhole on the other side.

Cut along the line. Now you have armholes only on one side of the dress and the neckline is asymmetrical.
